Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How does BleachBright work?
A. Using our one size fits all double sided mouthpiece/lens, you will receive BleachBright products that are impregnated with a special whitening gel and other essential ingredients. A patented spectrum blue LED (ADT-1500SP), with precise settings, is positioned between the upper and lower teeth. This formulation forces activation. Carbamide Peroxide and oxygen will break into water molecules and free oxygen radicals. The oxygen radicals combined with carbon-based molecules on a discolored surface make the discoloration of the teeth clear. This process will penetrate the tooth enamel but will not damage the enamel. This is referred to as physical tooth discoloration removal at the speed of light.
Q. How long will this process last?
A. 6 Months to 1 Year is not unusual, but we do recommend that you now care for your newly whitened teeth with our maintenance products, such as; Personal Take Home Teeth Whitening Light Kit, Keep Bright Pen or our UV Teeth Whitening System for Indoor or Outdoor Tanning.
Q. How long does this patented process take and what are the results?
A. Results can vary as everyone is different. The grade of your teeth and your age can affect the process, but we recommend a 15 minute treatment.
Q. How often should I use the maintenance product, KeepBright Pen?
A. We would recommend it as a daily maintenance and to use it especially for special events, dates, and/or engagements; anytime you are meeting with the public.
Q. How do I Whiten Teeth with the KeepBright Pen?
A. Use Twice a day. Smile wide, keeping lips away from teeth. Apply a thin layer of gel allowing teeth to dry at least 30 seconds. Then leave on for 30 minutes. Avoid eating/drinking or licking teeth for 30 minutes after application. If You are a Smoker You must use once a day to prevent your stains from returning.
Q. Is BleachBright safe?
A. Research has shown that if the teeth and gums are normal and healthy there are no adverse effects to bleaching one's teeth. People with tooth decay and with any type of gum disease should avoid this treatment. Never treat a pregnant woman; no know side effects are affirmed but it is simply a precaution. We are NOT Dentists. As explained by Dr. Doyle Williams, professor at Tufts School of Dentistry, he states "We like to protect our practices. There is nothing dangerous with bleaching outside of dental office." Also see reference of research presented at the 83rd general Session of the IADR, March 9-12, 2005 (conclusion of clinical trail shows safe and effective).
Q. Who may benefit from the BleachBright system?
A. Almost everyone will enjoy a benefit to the bleaching process if teeth and gums are healthy. Remember, teeth can not be bleached whiter than genetically possible. Tetracycline stain can not be removed. Also any stains resulting from excessive fluorides or porous teeth will have little result. Excluding the above, about 95% of our clients experience success.
Q. I have a crown on my anterior or front teeth. Will your product whiten my crown?
A. No, but the standard procedure is to first whiten all adjacent teeth, wait two weeks for the color to stabilize, then go to your dentist and have him match the crown to the new shade of your teeth. On the contrary, if a crown is already been in place for many years, the whitening process can return the rest of the teeth to the original shade prior to the crown placement. The same goes for composites, bridges, and veneers.
Q. Will the gel and peroxide you offer be the same as from my family dentist?
A. Our partner in the whitening industry supplies a great deal of product to dentist offices throughout the nation. Our carbamide peroxide, although at legal limits at 10% H2o2, 30% Carbamide peroxide- your family dentist may use a more powerful solution. BleachBright's H202-BOOST, the newest formulation ever created, will be most amazing new product ever used in the teeth whitening industry.
Q. Is this procedure done by a dentist?
A. BleachBright are all self-administered by the consumer, so you can save hundreds of dollars. The BleachBright Teeth Whitening System crosses no lines to create issues with the dental community. Our system uses no syringes, no products that need preparation or mixing, no retractors, no impressions and no preparation steps. This whitening system is done by the consumer.
Q. What causes stains?
A. Some teeth are naturally pigmented or stained as they develop. Typically, stains come from exposure to tea, coffee, smoking, juices, colas, wine, age, or just about anything that would stain a white tee shirt. This is why we highly recommend the KeepWhite Pen to stay bright.
Q. Are there any side effects?
A. Some people may feel a little tingling sensation, white gum line, or sensitivity, all of which are normal and hold no real danger. Typically, this will only last from a couple of hours not to exceed 24 hours.
Q. How long before I can eat or drink after my treatment?
A. The first 24 hours we would recommend to avoid coffee, tea, dark colored sodas, red wines, berries, candy, red sauces, beets, or any foods that have the propensity to stain. Remember if it leaves a tee shirt stained it will stain your teeth.
